Inside this vacuous space I refer to as my brain, I sometimes have an incredible moment of crystal clarity. Not unlike that which Her Majesty Oprah claims on a daily basis, several times during any one of her shows. (i.e.: ahh haa, I get it I get it, that was so powerful, etc.)
Since I don’t have her widespread exposure I am depending on your help in getting out the word, a grassroots movement if you will. I have found the answer to most of the major problems that plague our country today. A simple and low cost means of reversing current negative trends we have struggled with for decades. This will have a widespread and lasting positive effect on all levels of our society regardless of race, religion or economic status.
Think of it, something that all the programs and all the trillions of dollars have never been able to accomplish in the history of our country.
To begin with let us list the problems that my solution would not only address but if fact correct in a very short time.
· Deadbeat Dads
· Welfare subsidies
· Children & women’s health issues
· Daycare costs and availability
· Court overcrowding
· Prison overcrowding
· Police costs
· Prison costs
· Hospital & drug costs
· National debt
· School overcrowding
· Violence in schools
· The need for nurseries in schools
· Inner city crime
· Violent crime across the board
· Drug use
· Job shortage
· Qualified educated workforce in all regions of the country
· Disparity concerning race or gender
· Helplessness, hopelessness and despair.
· The need for a Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton, David Duke or Jesse Helms
These are just a few of the real problems that my plan would begin fixing on day one and only increase improving each and every day as time goes by until I predict within 2-3 generations these things would be just a bad memory no longer crippling our future.
The answer is simple; just require anyone receiving government assistance to take a monthly oral contraceptive (especially men) in the form of cheese cubes. We could make this a fun and entertaining event by having a wine tasting for the older adults and just cheese and veggies with dip for the kids. (yes, kids get pregnant too)
Now I know that some of you will think that this is just too radical of an approach to the problem. I would like to differ, the effect of the cheese is reversible within a few months and if you get on your own feet and pull your own weight like the rest of us, then you can have your own family. I’m not setting any standard or level of achievement requirement, just pay your own bills and raise your own kids or don’t have any. We will take care of you all your life, pay all of your bills, healthcare and so forth. The only restriction is no kids for you! You can screw all you want, by the player you always wanted to be. Be the woman that sleeps with everyone if that is your wish. I’m not making any moral distinction; I’m just preventing you from reproducing another generation of people like you. We have generations of people that have never done anything for themselves or set any kind of example for their children to give them hope. Let us have the strength to make the right decision. We can be compassionate and loving to all people. Do everything we can to lift up our fellow man to be all they can be. Some will take advantage of the hand up, but let’s be honest with ourselves; some will never be anything but a parasite breeding more parasites that will continue to pull down the quality of life for all of us.
If your response is one of, how could you do this to poor people that can’t help where they were born or who their parents were? My question to you would be; who was the last person or family you helped to become self-reliant and independent? If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem. Apathy my friend is the sin of our generation and has bred this seeming insurmountable problem. Besides, Have you heard of a more fair and effective idea from anyone else? I think not. The only people I would think that would be adamantly against this idea would be those that make a living off of the despair of the disadvantaged among us, or those that would find a religious reason against contraceptives. In the words of Dr. Phil, How’s that workin for ya!
Always thinking,
The Demonmaster
As you can see I have struck a nerve, but I wish to clarify for those that take immediate offense, I am not making any moral judgements. Do whatever you wish, I am only saying that taxpayers should not have to pick up the bill for poor judgement. Your church or family or friends, if they have no problem with the choices you have made or if the wish to support your lifestyle let them do it! We cannot go back and say I would not be here if my Mom didn’t have government help. Of course you would, that is one of the reasons you Mom needed help. My plan would just make sure that your Mom wouldn’t have anymore children until she got on her feet and was more able to make better decisions. By the way my mom was 17 when I was born and had 5 kids before she was done, and we too had help from the government, But that don’t make it right or the best way to do things. I’m saying a government agency isn’t allowed to make moral judgements that your church or family would and in some cases should make. So church and family can pick up the bill if they or you have a problem with not being able to have more children before you have a chance to properly care for them. As for Women and children’s health issues, the number of premature and drug addicted births alone in this country from underprivileged communities argue my point quite well. We can’t stop women from doing drugs, but if she is on welfare she won’t more that one addicted child because of it. I did not say my plan would prevent every unwanted or misguided birth it would just prevent repeating the problem over and over and over with no help for the uniformed or those too young to be expected to make sound choices. Preventing uncontrolled pregnancy is not a bad idea, the government is currently spending millions of your tax dollars right now in all the in school education programs across the country. What have we got for the investment? High school day care centers. How’s that for success!
I don’t know about you but I for one have not always been as wise as I consider myself to be now, though there are those that would say I still have a long way to go
Rick, you and I must share a brain! I have long been of the opinion that reproducing is a PRIVILEGE, not a right. If you can’t take care of your kids yourself, then you shouldn’t be allowed to have kids. Period.
I don’t see how it would help women’s health issues at all. Or the costs of day care or education. Plently of working people that wouldn’t qualify for your cheese either are underpaid or lose jobs, and even middle class folks have trouble affording good insurance and daycare.
How about cheese cubes for anyone who makes less then a certain standard of living? If you have kids and go under that standard of living, we take your kids away until you can afford them. That would work, kids only for the wealthy I say! (Sarcasm).
As a college graduate born to a 15 year old mother who received some goverment assistance I resent this post. You assuming everyone born from assistance and teenage pregnancy will be come a hoodlum, sex pot or a drug addict. While I agree teen births are not an ideal situation and it certainly is a risk factor, plenty of us that resulted from a bad decision or even assistance are not being featured on COPS. Way to ‘lift up your fellow man’.
I’m all for making people work and getting people off the dole in a reasonable manner, but this is just crazy.
crazy? i think its perfect. im actualy more radical. i believe in blunt force castration of any man or woman that was born to a 100% wellfare mother. but who can fight nature? we will reproduce, genero was correct in jurrasic park, life will find a way. all the liberals and socialists believe that education is the way, but only those that are willing to be educated can be, or even should be. im all for govt assistance, but only for short term help and i think that you should have to show results of your efforts in getting your feet on the ground to keep the money comming, which would eventualy tapper off as you are no longer in need. you give them a fish and they will eat, you show them how to fish and they will live, or if it were me id sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
“How about cheese cubes for anyone who makes less then a certain standard of living? If you have kids and go under that standard of living, we take your kids away until you can afford them. That would work, kids only for the wealthy I say! (Sarcasm).”
-even though i know that is sarcasm, i cant help but say this is a country still dependent on slaves! we need those underprivledged children to run our Mcdonalds, Walmarts, and so forth..which we are ALL guilty of supporting, we own them not with whips and chains, but with our promise of easy work for money.
“I’m all for making people work and getting people off the dole in a reasonable manner, but this is just crazy.”
-well nothing has worked in the past, maybe crazy is somthing we need. you want to know what else was crazy? in 1776 a few men had this crazy idea to fight the brits out of this land and start their own country. most people thought they were crazy, and i still do, but i stand behind my crazy folks because without their ideas we would be stuck in the same ruts spinning out of control.
