On Saturday May 10th 2008, I attended the graduation of Dolores’ eldest son Keith Aaron Jones, from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. It was quite a day! His dad Jeff and his wife Sandy, his brother Byron and his wife Caitlin, as well as his grandmother Jane and her husband Don and other friends were in attendance.
This was a Hugh day for Keith and the rest of us and I know in my heart the biggest day of all for his Mother Dolores. Keith graduated Cum Laude with a BESS and has been accepted into graduate school where he will receive a DPT or Doctor of Physical Therapy. We are all so proud of him!
To say this is an accomplishment is the greatest understatement I could ever make. This young man overcame many obstacles on the road to graduation day, and although I would love to list them to give you a real taste of just how hard this guy worked, I will refrain to respect his privacy and I’m sure his Mother’s wishes.
But I will say this; he inherited some of his Mother’s intelligence, but mostly her te
nacity and work ethic, which was the foundation to his success. Learning did not come as easily to Keith as it did his Mother, she was able to read something once and absorb it like a sponge, whereas Keith really had to study hard and review dutifully to achieve the same result, which makes his accomplishment all the more remarkable.
Now try to image taking a full load of classes while working two jobs and volunteering and/or interning at the same time. And if that were
not enough, try taking human anatomy and your lab consisting of human cadavers, while your Mother is dying of brain cancer!
Not only did he pass, he did it with Honors which is the greatest tribute he could ever pay his Mother, I know she was smiling down upon him with tears of joy and delight as he walked across that stage and proved to the world, that which his Mother always knew:
There walks a man of character, compassion, humility and high honor, may God Bless You Son, and keep you always.
The Demonmaster

Congrats to Keith!!!
I know that you are extremely proud of him – I could hear it in your writings. Tell him congradulations – he did his momma proud.
