In The News

     Sitting here tonight after watching the nightly television news I’m left wondering, are there any good or happy uplifting news stories out there that these over dressed over paid “Chicken Littles” might cover?         

     First they cover world and national events, Ok, nothing new here, still at war, oil prices still over 100.00 a barrel, people are starving all around the world, or they are hacking each other to bits over century old hatreds.  It is no better here in America, oil companies have made billion dollar profits, claim they have no power in controlling costs, and with a straight face tell congress that they need to continue to receive the multi-million dollar tax break as a hedge against and I quote, “lean times”.         

     So I will not depend on just my thoughts of the news, I’ll just report what I see and put each story in one of four categories:

          1.   Exploitive, sensational, self-serving coverage designed to sell          papers or get more watchers.

           2.   Neutral, informative, helpful.

          3. Inspiring, uplifting, examples of humans’ better nature. 

           4. Stupid
