Apparently Barack Obama isn’t living up to the standard that Jessie Jackson believes he should. Some comments made by Rev. Jackson when he thought his mic was turned off, have been playing all over the
news today.
Ole Jessie thinks that Obama is talking down to blacks because of his opinion that mirrors that of Bill Cosby in that blacks need to embrace self-reliance and self discipline as well as government service programs in the struggle for equality between races. Jessie said that he would like to cut his nuts off. (Referring to Obama).
Almost immediately the usual suspects
gave us their opinion Whoopi Goldberg excused Jessie’s remarks because “we all say stupid thing from time to time”. And of course Rev. Al Sharpton in his usual indecipherable babble said Jessie is right and Obama is right and this just goes to show we need affirmative action to correct this type of misunderstanding and rise up the black man.
As for me I am not burden with the problem of being PC, so I can use common sense and what I consider decent moral conduct in expecting a man of the cloth or “so called” to be above the common man and to strive to set an example of demonstrating one can rise above a mentality of nut cutting as a means of resolving disputes. What I think this has done is give us a clear view of what really lies in the man’s heart. In a means of being fair I searched the internet for one solid example of what Rev. Jackson has done to improve the Black cause and say he helped this community in this town by A or B and I can’t find anything beyond raising money for his cause through appearances and speeches. If you know of something please put it in the comment box. There has to be something doesn’t there? I mean he hasn’t fooled us all for so many years without doing something good and selfless. Or maybe he does just prey of the fears of others with empty words filled with false hope and divisiveness. I have never trusted his motives nor do I trust the man. He has always blamed those of us that try to do the right thing in helping our fellow man no matter what color as never doing enough. So what have you done but cut out a living for yourself, at the cost of real achievement in the communities you claim to represent.
Enough already just go home and let the next generation do that which you cannot. Your generation of civil rights leaders, hold on to the struggle like old Generals hold on to past glory in battle. The difference is we can retire the Generals when they are no longer relevant. What do we do with you?
The Demonmaster.
I don’t know how much it helped the black cause, but he did do a great thing acting as a negotiator with Hafez al-Assad and Castro to free American hostages.
I don’t care if his skin is blue though, I think he has a big fat mouth.
AMEN!!! I could not agree with you more, Rick!
I don’t agree that people of the cloth should be political, we all know about Rev Paisley!!!! In the eyes of God we are all equal and the bible teaches that we should turn the other cheek. So I say that any releigious leaders should stay out of politics and help people regardless of colour race or creed. Leave politics to the polititians….
Off my soapbox…..love it when people in the public eye forget when the mikes still on, look when Prince Philip did…..hehe….
