Time No Longer Relevant

According to the Wall Street Journal, Swiss  watchmaker Romain Jerome has accomplished the impossible. They have created a watch that they sell for $300,000.00 that doesn’t tell time! That’s right boys and girls; no hour hand, no minute hand and no second hand. So just what does this watch do? And why did it sell out within in 48 hrs of its debut? (how did they know it was 48 hours?)

It tells you whether or not it is day or night. Apparently there are enough billionaires that have a problem distinguishing between light and darkness. But then, haven’t they always been accused of this shortcoming!  When you have more money than sense these things are bound to happen.

I would suggest that when your pen stops working, don’t throw it away! List it on eBay for $50,000 for I am sure some millionaire doesn’t have the need to write any longer and your pen would lighten his load tremendously.

I wonder just who was stupid enough to believe that they needed a watch that doesn’t tell time as a badge of accomplishment they wear proudly. I wonder if they fear public flogging for their incredible arrogance that they would waste so much money on such a useless and insulting creation in the face of the real problems of our world today.

I hope that there would be such an outrage by the rest of the world that the ones that bought these watches would be forced to hide in embarrassment, and that Romain Jerome suffer such a backlash of financial retribution for such an insulting and overtly greedy act of human depravity, that they are forced to eat the bitterest pill of humility possible.

I cannot believe that I have not seen any outrage from any of the media outlets over this issue of in your face elitism. They should all be very ashamed. But at least we know them for what they are, and I hope we learn who they are. I will be willing to bet most are selling us oil as we speak.

Outraged and baffled but not surprised,

The Demonmaster

I understand why people want nice things. A decent motorcycle, home, etc. Seriously though, when your putting diamonds on diamonds, what’s the point? If people judge me on what I own, they are not friends of mine!
