Heading toward Denver across the eastern plain is a feast for the eyes. That is if empty desolation and endless nothingness is your idea of eye candy. For me I got to the point I welcomed the orange windsocks every 10 miles or so with the sign saying “High winds possible”. The other thing that is glaringly apparent is the lack of gas stations. Although you will see several signs saying “No services this exit”. The first picture gives you a small glimpse of what I mean.
Once I got closer to Denver I found gas and a chance to stretch my legs.
My destination is Doug & Stephanie’s and their new son Evan. Doug is the son of my good friend Glenda back in Houston and I took the opportunity to drop in and see the new kid!!! We had a great visit and I hope to get back to visit them again soon. Next stop Falcon.
